First Selection
Our recruitment team screens all applications received and assesses them based on the job requirements.
Selection Interview
Selected candidates will receive an invitation for an initial selection interview. Here we discuss your skills, experience and motivation.
Second Interview / Assessment
The first interview may be followed by a more in-depth second interview or an assessment, depending on the job requirements.
Draft Offer
If you have been successful so far, you will receive a draft offer from us with details about the salary and employment conditions.
Screening
We will begin the screening phase in which reference checks and medical examinations will take place.
Employment contract and onboarding
After a successful screening phase, you will receive your official employment contract and onboarding documents.

Dutch citizen (not born in Curaçao)
Application procedure for a Declaration of Law (VVR) for working in Curaçao as a Dutch citizen (not born in Curaçao)
Required Documents:
- A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG);
- A Declaration of Law (VVR), to be applied for in the Netherlands;
- Work declaration and identity of the employer.
Submit request through e-mail:
- Submit your application via email to intake@immigrationcur.org;
- Ensure that all documents are scanned and attached in PDF format in one (1) e-mail;
- The application must be completed electronically and signed by the applicant. If electronic completion is not possible, complete the form in block letters with a blue pen;
- Please include the applicant’s name and date of birth in the subject of the email;
- Send a separate e-mail for each person. If it concerns a family application, please indicate this in the message and state the name of the main applicant;
- Ensure that all documents are attached in accordance with the requirements list.
Payment of fees & charges:
Make sure that the payment of fees & charges has been completed.
Proof of receipt
After receiving your complete application, you will receive confirmation by email that the application has been processed.
Processing upon arrival in Curaçao
Upon arrival in Curaçao you must pay the legal costs and declare these costs at Curaçao Medical Center upon arrival.

Medical Screening
Medical Screening
Anyone who is employed by the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) must meet a number of medical requirements. This is not only important from a medical point of view, but also important in the context of liability aspects and the health insurance that the hospital provides to its staff. The hospital is its own care provider. This means that the hospital fully covers the medical costs in the event of illness and the loss of wages in the event of disability.
The associated inspection is therefore a fitness for work inspection and at the same time also an insurance inspection.
Living abroad
If you do not live on the island, we request that you have the examination carried out in your own country by your own general practitioner or company doctor.
Make sure that the forms are completed completely, are legible and are also signed and stamped. Also pay attention to the shelf life of the tests (MRSA, TB).
Once the forms and test results are complete, you can send them to the Work and Health department. The results are assessed by the company doctor of the Curaçao Medical Center. The company doctor will inform you if there is any missing or additional information.
You may only start work once all information has been received and the company doctor has given approval.
